Overview
This policy describes what is and is not allowed on the Synfire registry. All users must comply with this policy when using the Service. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination.
Permitted Use
- Publishing neuromorphic models in NIR format with valid metadata and licensing
- Downloading and using published models according to their specified licenses
- Using the API, CLI, and SDK for legitimate model management
- Publishing and maintaining repositories in your own namespace
- Reporting issues with models or the platform through proper channels
Prohibited Activities
Content Restrictions
- Publishing malicious models designed to cause harm
- Uploading content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Publishing models with intentionally misleading metadata or capabilities
- Including malware, exploits, or harmful code in release artifacts
Platform Abuse
- Circumventing rate limits or other technical restrictions
- Automated scraping or bulk downloading without authorization
- Creating multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions
- Impersonating other users or organizations
- Using the registry as general-purpose file storage
Account Conduct
- Sharing account credentials or API tokens
- Accessing other users' accounts without authorization
- Harassment or abusive behavior toward other users
Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate and take action on violations of this policy. Actions may include:
- Content tombstoning — hiding releases that violate this policy with a recorded reason
- Account suspension — temporarily restricting account access
- Account termination — permanently removing access to the Service
